Tejas Brisket Co. on Peak Street is closing its physical storefront on Friday, Jan. 16, or whenever brisket runs out.
After announcing new hours on Jan. 2, the takeout restaurant posted on Jan. 10 on Facebook that it would be shutting down because of the hours.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last year in this location,” the post reads. “Unfortunately, we cannot continue to operate with our current hours.”
Tejas Brisket Co. will still be catering and can be reached at tejasbrisketcompany@gmail.com.
Owners Antonio Guevara and Tifany Swulius, who met while working at Lakewood Landing, opened Tejas Brisket Co. in February 2025, according to a Dallas Observer article.
