The Epic and Cityplace Tower have been flagged as potential sites for Dallas’ new City Hall.

That is, if City Hall moves out of the I.M. Pei building in Downtown. Last week, Dallas City Council held a marathon meeting on this topic and decided to both consider options for relocation and for repairing the current Brutalist building. The council members representing East Dallas and Lake Highlands were split on this issue.

Now, CBS News is reporting that six sites are being publicly considered for City Hall’s relocation, including the two in East Dallas. The Epic, which has tenants like the new AI-startup 4Minds, The Bomb Factory’s corporate offices, Uber and engineering consulting firm Kimley-Horn, is on Deep Ellum’s western edge between Pacific Avenue and Elm Street. Cityplace Tower, where Neiman Marcus’ headquarters were, is just east of U.S.-75, between North Haskell and Lemmon Avenues.

Three of the other potential sites are in Downtown — Bryan Tower, Comerica Bank Tower and Founders Square. The remaining one is in the former Sears Roebuck distribution center in the Cedars, CBS News reports. RedBird Mall was also mentioned as a possible location for the City’s 311 and 911 operations center.

The full list includes 15 sites (with more that could be added), but that hasn’t been released yet as negotiations are ongoing.
