Samuel Mendoza, 58, reportedly died of stab wounds during the morning of Wednesday, June 17, and Dallas police officers have already made an arrest.

The deceased was found by officers at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Peavy Road, southeast of the Ferguson Road-North Buckner Boulevard intersection, according to The Dallas Morning News. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and there, police arrested 29-year-old Adrian Mendoza, according to The DPD Beat. Mendoza is facing a murder charge. 

CBS News reported that Adrian Mendoza is the deceased’s son, who was allegedly attacked while he was sleeping. The 29-year-old confessed to the crime in the arrest affidavit but said he believed his father was hurting people, including children, but didn’t support his claim with evidence.
