Echo Theatre is hosting a free staged reading of We Have No Cats Kathleen! by Hadley Shipley on Tuesday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bath House Cultural Center.
The play follows Diane, a self-proclaimed “smart business woman,” whose online cat fights, personal attacks and wine-fueled defenses begin to unravel her life. As she spirals, her staff finds themselves caught between their mission to help the cats and a reality they can no longer ignore.
After the reading, the audience is invited to stay to discuss the play with the actors, director and Echo creatives.
The reading, part of the Echo Reads Salon Series, is produced by Hadley Shipley and Liz Ware and offers audiences the opportunity to experience new works in a staged reading format.
Admission is free, though attendees are encouraged to let Echo Theatre know they plan to attend in advance. There is also a performance scheduled on Wednesday at Whiskers and Soda, but registration has closed for that event. For more information or to RSVP, visit Echo Theatre’s website.
