Two free events coming to Lake Highlands area libraries this Saturday

If you’re looking for something to do at your local library, two Lake Highlands area branches are hosting free events this Saturday, Aug. 1. Here’s what’s happening:

Forest Green Branch Library

The Forest Green Branch Library is hosting Ready, Set, Throw!, a performance by The Ramazinis Circus. Led by Julio Ramazini, the interactive show combines entertainment and education by teaching audiences about the physics of juggling while showcasing a variety of juggling tricks.

The event will take place in the Karen Blumenthal Auditorium from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Lochwood Branch Library

The Lochwood Branch Library will host its Back to School Community Fair from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 1.

Attendees can connect with local businesses and organizations while learning about city resources available to the community.

While the registration to receive free school supplies is full, guests can still attend the fair and get treats from Kona Ice, Monster Yogurt, McAlister’s Deli and many more. Additionally, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Wash Masters, Bath House Cultural Center, CC Young Senior Living, White Rock Rowing Club and other organizations will be in attendance.
