District 13 Council Member Gay Donnell Willis apologized to residents after they were unable to discuss a proposed Planned Development District at 3807 Walnut Hill Lane during Wednesday’s Dallas City Council meeting.
In a Dallas City Council District 13 Facebook post, Willis addressed residents’ concerns and apologized for the situation.
“I am so sorry that several residents who came to the City Council meeting yesterday were not able to speak on the zoning case,” she said. “I know it was inconvenient to wait for hours as council went into closed session to discuss two critical legal issues.”
Willis deferred the zoning case until Sept. 23, giving residents another opportunity to share their opinions on the proposed zoning ordinance.
“The developer is preparing some important revisions to the plan. I’ve been promised that you will be able to review these changes very soon,” Willis said.
Residents who would like to share comments with Willis can email her at gay.willis@dallas.gov. Willis also encouraged residents to attend the Sept. 23 City Council meeting to speak about the zoning case.
