A person died outside the entrance of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden in a wreck on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Dallas police responded to the accident call at about 7:22 p.m. near the intersection of East Lawther Drive and Garland Road. Officials told the Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate that a motorcycle crashed with a van, causing the motorcycle driver to be thrown off and die at the scene. There were no other injuries reported, and the van driver stayed at the scene.
On the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s website, there is record of a matching the details of this accident that identifies the deceased as 52-year-old Johnny Morales, Jr.
