If you ever wanted to pretend you’re in one of those movies where characters have to navigate their way through lasers, you may get your chance at Time Mission in Mockingbird Station. Photo courtesy of Time Mission/LOL Entertainment via press release from The Power Group.
Time Mission, filled with “interactive challenge rooms,” is expected to open in Mockingbird Station on Friday, Nov. 13.
Time Mission bills itself as different from traditional escape rooms that are limited to one room and storyline. In 60, 90 and 120-minute experiences, players ages 6 and up can race through over 24 interactive missions and test their teamwork, problem-solving and physical skills, according to a press release. Missions can be attempted multiple times, and the idea is that each experience at Time Mission can be varied.
From LOL Entertainment, Time Mission has a few locations in Europe and more in the U.S., mostly on the East Coast and in the Midwest. The Mockingbird Station site — on the second floor of the building closest to the DART station over Sandbox VR and JingHe Japanese restaurant — will be its first in Dallas and second in Texas. (The other is in Houston.)
“We’re thrilled to bring Time Mission to Dallas and introduce a new way for people to connect, compete and have fun together,” said Stacy Stec, director of brand communications and partnerships at LOL Entertainment, in a press release. “There is something for everyone at Time Mission. Each mission presents a new challenge, giving guests the opportunity to discover their strengths, work together and create memorable experiences with friends, family and colleagues.”
Information about ticket sales and presale discounts is to come.
