THAT’S SO DALLAS

That’s not hot, Dallas. Someone hit a Dallas Fire Rescue truck with an artillery shell Wednesday night. The shell went under the truck and blew the oil pan off the engine. That damage took the truck offline for two hours on one of the busiest nights of the year for the fire department. Another artillery shell hit the windshield of a truck from station No. 24, damaging it. And someone threw a firework into the rolled-down window of an ambulance from station No. 24. That one burned a first responder. The illegal fireworks situation is really out of control, although the number of burn victims in area hospitals is typical. (WFAA/Dallas Morning News)
