Salisbury’s Pizza, East Dallas’ newest pizza spot, is set to open this August in Casa Linda Plaza. Created by husband-and-wife team Will and Julie Salisbury, the pizzeria aims to create a welcoming neighborhood gathering place for Dallasites.

Influenced by the Long Island pizzerias Will grew up around, Salisbury’s will serve New York-style pizza along with dine-in service, bar and counter seating, takeout, in-house delivery, catering and an accessible wine program.

“Our vision was to build a neighborhood space that speaks authentically to our personal backgrounds and shared expertise — and most importantly, that we create something new and special that feels tailor-made for the East Dallas community that we are so thrilled to be a part of,” said Will and Julie Salisbury.

The restaurant’s in-house delivery service will be handled by its own drivers rather than third-party delivery apps. The owners say the approach is intended to reduce fees for both customers and the restaurant while maintaining greater control over the delivery experience.

Together, the couple is bringing years of fine-dining and wine expertise to a neighborhood-focused pizzeria.

Chef and co-owner Will Salisbury brings a fine-dining background to the restaurant. He previously served as sous chef at Bullion and chef de cuisine at Carbone. He is also the co-founder of the Heard That Foundation, which he helped launch after defeating cancer during his time at Bullion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was recognized by D Magazine as a “Front Line Hero” for providing meals to out-of-work Dallas hospitality workers.

Co-owner Julie Salisbury brings extensive wine experience, having served as wine director at Monarch and as a sommelier at Veritas, Bullion and Carbone. She also managed the wine brokerage for 55 Seventy.

The wine program will feature food-friendly wines at approachable prices, designed to complement both the menu and the neighborhood atmosphere.

“We believe wine is something that should be enjoyed at any time, and especially with a great meal, not reserved for a special occasion or fancy night out,” said Julie Salisbury. “We are building a wine program with our East Dallas community in mind, while reflecting our philosophy: that serving great wine should not have to feel fussy, and the price of wine in a restaurant should be reasonable and inclusive.”

Salisbury’s Pizza, located at 9540 Garland Road, Suite 407 in Casa Linda Plaza, will open in August and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
