The Bath House Cultural Center is accepting submissions for its 40th annual Día de Muertos exhibition, Día de Muertos: They’re Having a Party.
Curated by Enrique Fernández Cervantes, this year’s exhibition invites artists to imagine their departed loved ones celebrating joyfully in the afterlife. The exhibit welcomes artwork in a variety of media, as well as altar installations. Artists interested in creating an altar are encouraged to follow the theme by honoring loved ones celebrating beyond this life.
There is no entry fee. The Bath House Cultural Center will not accept files on USB drives, memory cards or by email. All works must be shipped or hand-delivered to the center.
The deadline for entries is Wednesday, Sept. 16. Artists will be notified of selections on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. The exhibition will be open to the public Oct. 10 through Nov. 7.
More information and submission guidelines are available on the Bath House Cultural Center website.
