The upcoming Salisbury’s Pizza in Casa Linda Plaza is planning to host a sneak peak event this Saturday.
Slices & Ices is scheduled for 2-6 p.m. Aug. 1 at 9540 Garland Road #407 (where the restaurant Be Home Soon used to be). The name is to signify that Italian ices will be served alongside pizza slices over the counter. Owners Will and Julie Salisbury said in an email to the Lakewood/East Dallas Advocate that soft drinks, beer and wine by the glass will also be available for purchase.
“Not quite ready to open but we’re too excited,” read the Instagram post announcing the event. “Bring the whole family!”
Previously, Salisbury’s Pizza planned to be open in August. The owners told the Advocate that a grand opening date is expected to be announced sometime next week, and Slices & Ices is their way of saying “hello” to the neighborhood.
The pizzeria plans to offer New York-style pizza along with dine-in service, bar and counter seating, takeout, in-house delivery, catering and an accessible wine program, according to a previous Advocate article.
