On July 29, Dallas Police Department Senior Corporal Robert Huynh gave himself up to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office for two Class-A misdemeanors: Assault Bodily Injury and Official Oppression, as reported by The DPD Beat.
“Senior Corporal Huynh has been a member of the Department since November 2018 and is currently assigned to the Northwest Patrol Division,” The DPD Beat wrote. “He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.”
The Department will not share any more information at the moment. If found guilty of both offenses, Huynh could face up to $8,000 in fines according to state laws and/or go to jail for up to 2 years.
