Dallas recreation centers will be closed Friday due to city furlough days

All Dallas Recreation Centers will be closed Friday, Aug. 7.

The closures are part of the required city furlough days announced in June to address the budget shortfall. Dallas Park and Recreation rescheduled the required City furlough days to late summer in order to keep recreation centers fully open during the peak summer rush, according to a press release.

All aquatic facilities, administrative offices and maintenance facilities will remain open. Facilities will return to normal operation starting Saturday, Aug. 8.

The remaining scheduled furlough days are Sept. 4 and Sept. 28.
