The Forest Green Branch Library will unveil and dedicate a new permanent art sculpture this Thursday, Aug. 20, from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Titled Fruits of Knowledge, the sculpture was commissioned by the Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
“The sculpture took inspiration from the existing mature tree canopies and mythology, and shines in customizable colors after dark,” artist Mirek Struzik said.
The Lake Highlands Advocate will be at the dedication to cover the unveiling and speak with those involved in bringing the sculpture to the library. A larger story about Fruits of Knowledge, its inspiration and the artwork’s role at the Forest Green Branch Library will follow the event.
