The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released the 2025-2026 A-F Accountability Ratings for public school systems and campuses across the state on Friday, Aug. 14.

The annual accountability ratings are done to provide transparency and accurate information regarding education throughout the state of Texas. According to a press release from TEA, 1,202 districts and 9,105 campuses were rated for 2025-2026, with Dallas Independent School District earning an 85 or ‘B’ rating overall.

For Oak Cliff high schools, W.H. Adamson maintained the ‘A’ rating from last year. South Oak Cliff High School and David W. Carter High School joined Adamson this year as A-rated campuses.

“This is what a blueprint for excellence looks like, and our schools are continuing to improve because of our team, from our teachers to our nurses to our bus drivers to all the support maintenance staff that maintain our buildings,” said Superintendent Stephanie S. Elizalde in a press release. “I have to thank our amazing Board of Trustees who are and remain the most student-focused school board in the entire state. Thanks also to our community for that bond vote that said yes to investing in our students. While a district score of 85 indicates that there is room for growth, we want to take a moment to celebrate what this nine-point increase means for our entire community and for our students in particular.”

Dallas ISD students performed at or above the state in growth for 92% of all assessed categories, according to a press release.

Additionally, Dallas ISD African American students exceeded state performance in math and social studies across all three achievement levels and outperformed peers in reading at the gold standard level of Meets in the state assessments.

For emergent bilingual and economically disadvantaged students, those groups in Dallas ISD outperformed state peers in all subjects, especially at the Meets and Masters levels, according to a press release.

The majority of the schools in our neighborhood received a ‘B’ rating. The one ‘F’ rated school for 2024-2025, Boude Storey Middle School, has moved up to earn a ‘D.’
