For 35 years, the Advocate has been part of Dallas neighborhoods — telling the stories that matter most to the people who live here. And for much of that time, people like you have made that work possible.
This year for North Texas Giving Day, we’re focusing our Giving Day campaign on something very tangible: getting the Advocate into more streets in your neighborhood.
We want to make sure that more neighbors have the opportunity to find the Advocate on their street, at a local rack or at a local business. It costs approximately $15,000 every month to distribute the Advocate throughout our communities.
Our North Texas Giving Day goal is $20,000. Reaching that goal will help cover approximately one month of neighborhood distribution and about three months of rack delivery.
That’s more than a number. It’s more opportunities for a neighbor to pick up the Advocate. More people discovering a story about their community. More local businesses, schools, leaders and residents being seen and heard.
