Mahj for More
Beginners and seasoned Mahjong players alike are invited to participate in this year’s Mahj for More tournament benefitting Feed Lake Highlands. All proceeds will support the nonprofit which has been providing for neighbors living in apartment communities along the Whitehurst corridor.
Lake Highlands United Methodist Church is hosting the event, and participants may register to play as an individual or sign up as a four-person team. Pay your $20 per person fee online here or bring a big sack of groceries to stock the pantry at Feed LH.
Beginners will sit together to continue learning the game, and Mahjong Mavens will compete for the LH title. There’ll be fall-themed snacks and mocktails (we will be in church, after all), and patrons may enter a raffle to win a beautiful set of tiles.
Mahj for More runs from 6 -8 p.m. on Friday, October 23. LHUMC is at 9015 Plano Road.
