A second stabbing occurred on Gaston Avenue within the past week, but this time, the victim survived. (Or at least, she has not been reported as deceased.)

Dallas police were called to the scene at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 in the 5300 block of Gaston Ave., according to a report from FOX 4. The unnamed person who was stabbed was transported to the hospital.

Officers arrested 17-year-old Jesus Trujillo in connection with the incident. He is facing an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge and is being held with a $250,000 bond.

About a week ago, 59-year-old Daniel Alvarez was stabbed and killed in the 4800 block of Gaston Avenue. Dallas police accused Cleto Banda, 33, of committing the crime and arrested him near the scene. Banda allegedly admitted to the stabbing in an interview with police. He is facing a murder charge.
