Norma’s Cafe is celebrating its 70th anniversary on Wednesday, June 24, with all-day $2 meal deals.
The celebration will take place form 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all five traditional Norma’s Cafe locations, including the Lake Highlands restaurant at 9100 N Central Expressway. Diners can enjoy select menu favorites for just $2, including chicken fried-steak, biscuit and gravy and the restaurant’s signature Mile-High Pie.
The anniversary event is dine-in only and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Dallas in honor of former owner Ed Murph’s legacy.
“Seventy years is a milestone for any company, but certainly a rarity in the restaurant industry,” Kurt Metzger, vice president of operations for Norma’s Cafe said in a statement. “We are so thrilled to be celebrating our 70th in true Norma’s fashion and that is by serving a wonderful and affordable homecooked meal all while giving back to the DFW community.”
Known for its homestyle comfort food and longtime presence in the Dallas area, Norma’s Cafe has served generations of customers since opening its doors in 1956.
