The Lakewood Early Childhood PTA (LECPTA) has launched its annual giving campaign, which will run through July 3rd.
This year’s campaign theme,“This Is Your Sign to Donate,” encourages Lakewood and East Dallas neighbors to make a contribution of any size.
For almost 75 years, LECPTA has served families in East Dallas and Lakewood. Its mission is to “strengthen the Lakewood community by fostering connection among families and investing in the success of local public schools,” according to the organization’s website.
Funds raised through the campaign will be used to support local schools, family programs, community events and The Lakewood Elementary Playground Project, according to a press release from LECPTA.
Donors who contribute $100 or more will receive a yard sign as a thank you for supporting the campaign.
“We wanted to create a campaign that feels approachable and fun while reminding people that every gift matters,” said Lauren Melder, LECPTA president, in the press release. “The yard signs are a playful nod to the campaign theme, but the real goal is community participation. Whether someone gives $5 or $500, they’re helping support local families, schools and programs.”
LECPTA is also encouraging supporters to check if their employers offer corporate matching programs. According to the press release, families may donate through their company’s giving platform and include “LECPTA Annual Giving Campaign 26-27” in the memo line to help ensure the gift is properly attributed.
