This past Friday, Sept. 18, the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands awarded four Lake Highlands High School (LHHS) students with its Youth of the Month and Character Counts awards.
Channing Black and Brandon Breeckner were named Youth of the Month, while Makayla Gonzales and Muntasir Manzur received the Character Counts awards.
“These Wildcats have stood out to their teachers and coaches as model students in their studies and their extracurricular activities, along with their can-do attitudes to all that they take on,” said Brian Till, the Exchange Club’s vice president of youth.
Each month, the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands recognizes students who exemplify the organization’s values of giving back to the community, excelling academically and maintaining a positive attitude.
