The Ferguson Road Initiative and Carter BloodCare are teaming up for a blood drive on Saturday, July 18.
The Ferguson Road Initiative is a local nonprofit with the mission “to engage and empower a community of advocates to advance a safe, beautiful, prosperous, and proud Far East Dallas,” according to their website.
Eligible donors include people who are 16 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well the day of their donation.16-year-olds must have a signed parental consent form. More information regarding donor eligibility can be found here. One blood donation can save the lives of up to three people, according to the American Red Cross.
The blood drive will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 1451 John West Rd. at the Carter BloodCare bus.
