Terron Williams was fatally shot Monday near Walnut Hill and Plano Road

A fatal midday shooting in the Family Dollar parking lot near Walnut Hill and Plano Road on Labor Day kept Dallas Police investigators out in the heat and the intersection cordoned off for hours Monday. Police have not announced an arrest and are asking for help from the public.

The Family Dollar store manager told Fox 4 that Terron Williams, 33, is a customer who came in at noon to make a purchase. When he exited the store and climbed into white Camry sedan, the shooting began.

Surveillance video shared by the television station showed a white SUV pulling into the parking lot and at least one figure in dark clothing emerging on foot to open fire. Puffs of smoke are seen as shots continue, and Williams accelerates to escape, jumping over the median and crashing into a tree at the storage facility across the street.

Dallas Fire-Rescue crews responded and pronounced Williams dead at the scene.

Police have not shared the number of shooters they are seeking or their identities. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective A. Joslin, 214-671-4095.
