“Contemporary cuisine. Genuine service. Honest ingredients.”

This is what the soon-to-be new Lowest Greenville restaurant Brute Dallas promises to offer, according to its Instagram page. Multiple sources report Brute will open in November in place of Swizzle, the tiki bar that closed last year, at 1802 Greenville Ave., Suite 110, between Via Triozzi and Wabi House. This project is led by Aubrey Murphy, former executive chef at the Hilton Anatole’s SĒR Steak + Spirits, and sommelier James La Mar.

Friends of Lower Greenville reported on Instagram that the concept is expected to be “a smaller, more personal neighborhood restaurant.”

The menu is expected to change daily, CultureMap reports, and there will be a tasting menu program to feature rare or limited dishes. In addition to the dining room, Brute will have a lounge for cocktails and lighter fare.

In an interview with PaperCity, Murphy said Brute’s menu is a culmination of his experiences traveling, in fine dining and living in Hawaii. And the bar program is expected to be thoughtful and unique, with some wines sourced from Texas.

“I strive to have the best chicken dish in the state,” he said to PaperCity. “We are taking great care, and I’ve been R&D-ing it. Bison Rossini, Longhill Wagyu beef, and fish flown in from Hawaii, to name a few [others].”
