Halperin Park will host the Oak Cliff Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is free and open to all ages.
Activities will include live music, food trucks and local vendors, a splash zone and playground, community karaoke and trivia, a local farmers market presented by the Oak Cliff Veggie Project and crafts.
Live programming will also feature a reading of the Story of Juneteenth by local youth, performances by The Black Canvas Band and a marching band, according to a Halperin Park Facebook post. Additionally, the Little Mr. and Miss Juneteenth Contest will occur. Attendees can also take trolley tours of the Tenth Street Historic District
This festival is presented by For Oak Cliff, Halperin Park, the Tenth Street Residential Organization, Dallas Park and Recreation, Oak Cliff Veggie Project and Kinkofa.
Halperin Park is located at 626 S RL Thornton Fwy.
