To celebrate Independence Day, Halperin Park is hosting an evening of free, family-friendly activities and live entertainment.
America’s 250th Anniversary at Halperin Park will take place Saturday, July 4 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., according to the park’s website.
The celebration will include a patriotic spirit style contest with a chance to win prizes, limited free popsicles, a lineup of local food trucks, an indoor chill zone at the 12th Street Center with face painting, temporary tattoos and a coloring corner, and lawn games throughout the park.
The event will also feature giveaways, prize drawings and live performances from DJ Spaceboi Fresh, the Dallas Chamber Symphony and The Zee Band.
Halperin Park is located at 626 S. RL Thornton Fwy.
