Grandma’s Country Kitchen has been named Dallas’s Favorite New Restaurant by the Southern Taste of Dallas Awards.
The Southern Taste of Dallas Awards, founded by Brittany Criswell and Rickey Booker Sr. of Breakfast Brothers in 2023, spotlights the community contributions of Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, ghost kitchens and health-conscious eateries across Dallas, according to the organization’s website.
This year, the awards also expanded to include Latino-owned businesses.
At the award ceremony earlier this month, Grandma’s Country Kitchen earned the title of Dallas’s Favorite New Restaurant less than a year after opening the doors at its RedBird location.
“Winning Dallas Favorite New Restaurant means the world to us because it reflects the love and support of our community,” said Harold Cox, co-owner of Grandma’s Country Kitchen, in a press release. “Opening this restaurant was a long road filled with hard work, perseverance, and unwavering faith. To receive this honor just four months after opening is truly humbling. We couldn’t have done it without every customer who walked through our doors, voted for us, and continues to support our dream.”
Known for its signature fried chicken, crispy catfish, homemade sides and homey atmosphere, the restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
