Twelve Hills Nature Center will host Prairie Festival on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Twelve Hills Nature Center is a volunteer led organization that aims to preserve and celebrate the native prairie and green spaces of our neighborhood.

“Prairie Festival is our favorite day of the year,” said Marcie Haley, president of Twelve Hills Nature Center, in a press release. “It’s a chance for neighbors to connect with each other and with the natural world right outside their doors.”

The free, family-friendly festival programming includes a native plant pop-up shop from North Haven Gardens, reptile encounters from the University of Texas at Arlington, live raptor demonstrations from Window to the Wild, storytime with Whose Books and more.

Twelve Hills Nature Center is located at 817 Mary Cliff Road.
