Parlor Doughnuts finally opened a Dallas location on July 25, bringing its “Famous Layered Doughnuts” to the Vickery Place community.
“Parlor is famous for its flaky, glaze-to-order layered doughnuts,” Parlor Dallas said in an Instagram post. “Instead of traditional cake or yeast doughnuts, they’re made with laminated dough, giving them buttery, croissant-like layers that are unlike anything else we’ve had.”
Beyond its doughnut recipe, the brand prides itself in its limited-edition flavor selection that rotates every month.
“The menu goes beyond sweet treats with savory layered doughnuts, breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, açaí bowls and specialty coffee drinks, making it just as easy to stop by for breakfast or lunch as it is for dessert,” Dallas Parlor said on Instagram.
Similarly to Crumbl Cookies, Parlor’s varied monthly cycle fuels excitement and curiosity among customers.
“I first tried Parlor near where I grew up in Destin, Florida. I’m not the biggest sweets guy, but I remember thinking those doughnuts were the best thing in the world,” Parlor Dallas Owner Ben Burkett said via Instagram. “The layered dough combined with the one-of-a-kind glazes, there’s nothing like it. After living in Dallas for over 10 years, I kept thinking we need[ed] a Parlor of our own. Now it’s happening!”
