The Dallas Executive Airport will host the Aviation Discovery Fest next month.

The Aviation Discovery Fest is Commemorative Air Force’s annual celebration of aviation, history, and education. The festival will feature more than 20 vintage aircrafts where visitors can tour, ride select historic aircrafts, meet pilots, restoration volunteers and veterans, experience live history re-enactment camps and participate in hands-on activities, according to a press release.

This year’s festival will also include a showing of Jimmy, which opens Friday, Nov. 6 in theaters. The film tells the story of Jimmy Stewart going from an Academy award-winning actor to an Army Air Forces bomber pilot, highlighting his 20 combat missions over Nazi-occupied Europe.

One of the featured aircrafts of the festival is the B-24 Liberator Diamond Lil, which is the same type of bomber Stewart flew during the war and is the world’s only B-24 Liberator currently flying, according to a press release. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet North Texas actress, Kara Kilmer, who plays Lady Julia in Jimmy and film writer Justin Strawhand.

The Aviation Discovery Fest will be open Friday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.
