On the afternoon of July 15, A DART Train downtown crashed into a delivery truck as it was crossing, resulting in 5 injuries of DART passengers according to company officials, as reported by NBC 5 DFW.
“Dallas Fire-Rescue units were called to the collision in the 2200 block of Bryan Street at the Pearl Street Station around 12:20 p.m.,” Dominga Gutierrez reported in an NBC 5 DFW article.
The truck itself had flipped onto its ride side after the collision, warranting a prompt rescue of the driver by first responders. Luckily, he walked away unscathed according to DART, as reported in NBC 5 DFW.
“DART Rail passengers should expect delays near the Pearl/Arts District station,” NBC 5 DFW said in an Instagram post.
